Iron Chef America: The Next Judge
I just had the most incredible dream. That I was a judge on Iron Chef America.
It was so far-fetched. In this surreal fantasy, the executive producer asked me if I was interested. "Yes, yes, YES! I'm extremely interested!" I said. "Does anyone ever say no?" I asked. Rather bold I know, but after all, it was just a beautiful dream.
Or was it?
Did the Food Network really fly me to New York City to let me preside over Kitchen Stadium? Did Alton Brown actually query me about the secret battle ingredient? Did I dare trade barbs with one of my favorite food writers in the whole world who happened to be a fellow judge? Was it my imagination or were those the chefs I thought they were cooking right in front of me?
Or was it all a delayed hallucination from my stint as an absinthe judge?
Stay tuned...

Oh, this is so exciting, Louisa! I'm definitely staying tuned :)

Dearest David - I'm just hoping I don't get left on the editing room floor. My secret fear is that this will be the first battle in Kitchen Stadium where they decided to show only two judges instead.
