Omnivore Food Festival

 

UPDATE 2008: The third annual Omnivore Food Festival will be held February 11-12, 2008 in Deauville, France.

I'm in the port city of Le Havre for the Omnivore Food Festival whose participants include Ferran Adria, Alain Ducasse, Jean Francois Piege - my chef at Les Ambassadeurs at the Crillon - as well as Pierre Herme, Michel Bras, and Pascal Barbot of L'Astrance - amongst many, many others. This is the first gathering of the new generation of French chefs - dubbed "Generation.C". There will be demonstrations, discussions, and your favourite and mine - ephemeral restaurants.

I have had connection problems but they seem to be over for now.
