My girl Pim has sounded the call to food bloggers worldwide to aid victims of the devastating Kashmir earthquake. Over two months later, millions of survivors remain homeless in Pakistan and Northern India - many still suffering from injuries and illness - and now face the onslaught of a bitterly cold Himalayan winter.
In our second Menu for Hope we offer a fascinating virtual raffle with a dizzying array desirable prizes. They include a Pierre Herme tea with Clotilde from Chocolate & Zucchini; a hands-on pro photo lesson from the gifted Heidi of 101 Cookbooks; a starring role in an Amateur Gourmet video with Adam himself; "a lamb to call your own" from Susan at Farmgirl Fare; and a whopping $200 gift certificate to Manresa, the highly acclaimed restaurant of chef David Kinch - aka Pim's hottie boyfriend - from Pim of Chez Pim herself.
How can you win one of these priceless prizes? Easy as 1-2-3.
1. Check out our long list of fabulous prizes - with additions here and here and here and here.
2. Donate just $5 to our Menu for Hope. Each $5 donation gives you one chance to win. Donate more for more chances to win.
3. Note your desired prize or prizes in your donation's comments section.
Our campaign runs through December 24th with results announced after January 1st.
No money will pass through our hands. All donations will be through First Giving, to UNICEF, for the victims of the earthquake.
Movable Feast is donating a personalised Fixer's Guide to Paris - my dark side to the City of Light. I will personally work with you to create your own Bourdain experience - or better. Do what we couldn't do on-camera - with legal departments lurking around. Also, in collaboration with my sister - Annie Chu, paper designer - we will print your personalised guide to Paris - and send it stunningly gift-wrapped. So even if you have no immediate plans to visit Paris, you will always have your very own personalised Paris armchair adventure.
Thank you for your donation. Thanks to Pim for once again organising this event. And thank you too to all participating food bloggers.
