I will slowly be getting impossibly drunk and surprisingly full on teeny-tiny, itty-bitty, food and wine samples at the Salon Paris Fermier - which starts today and runs through Monday. For the best vendors follow the grandmothers - and risk injury from their jostling elbows and overladen rolly-carts. Top chefs go too - when I went out to Rungis with Pascal Barbot - the chef/owner of L'Astrance - he said he always go to the big Paris food salons to seek out small, artisanal sources.
